Winemaking Data

Grenache grapes were crushed upon arrival and soaked on skins for nineteen hours. The free-run juice was drained and skins were pressed. Both free-run and pressed juice were fermented together for approximately twenty-five days in a stainless steel tank. The wine was bottled in February 2013.

Winemaker Notes

The Fogdog Grenache Rosé has bright notes of fresh picked strawberries and hints of lychee laced with floral notes. The palate is fresh and alluring with balanced texture and acidity.

Vintage Notes

The King City area of Monterey County boasts a diverse soil mix and is known to have a semi-arid, almost Mediterranean climate. The summers are dry and warm with occassional early morning fog followed by cool, wet winters.

The 2012 growing season started cool, with a dry spring that followed into a typical warm summer and harvest season, making for perfect growing conditions in the vineyard.
