Winemaker Notes The 1984 Backus has the characteristics of mint, chocolate, and a spicy bouquet that characterizes wines from this vineyard. Deep in color, powerful and concentrated.
Winemaking Data Grapes were harvested at an average of 23.4° Brix, conventionally fermented, and aged 11 months in 60-gallon French oak barrels before being blended, fined with fresh egg whites, and bottled in July 1986.
