A visit to our historic Napa Valley winery.
Founder’s Tasting
A relaxed, seated tasting, hosted by a Wine Educator, introducing Joseph Phelps’ current release Napa Valley and Sonoma Coast wines. Includes our flagship wine, Insignia. Weather permitting, tastings will be held either on our outdoor terrace offering vineyard views, or accommodated in our cozy indoor lounge seating. Members can use 4 complimentary passes per visit, passes are based on Tenure and Club Level
Collector’s Tasting
An exclusive seated tasting inside our Home Ranch and hosted by a Senior Wine Educator. Guests will be guided through a curated selection of our most exclusive wines from Napa Valley and Sonoma Coast, including our flagship wine, Insignia, and a selection from the library. This experience includes two seasonal food pairings designed by our Culinary Team to show how wines can complement your meal. This tasting is offered as a private experience or at a communal table. Members receive preferred pricing for up to four guests.
Insignia Exploration
Discover how the different terroirs and varied topography of Joseph Phelps’ Vineyards play a role in creating this truly unique wine. Includes components from our estate vineyards, along with current release and library Insignia. This indoor seated tasting is hosted at a communal table. Phelps Preferred member pricing applies for up to four reservations. Please allow 90 minutes for this experience.
Vineyard Hike & Tasting
Immerse yourself in the history of our winery’s beginnings through a vineyard hike among the vines of our Home Ranch in St. Helena. At the conclusion of your journey, you will return to the winery for a seated tasting. Guests will be guided through a selection of our current releases, including our flagship wine, Insignia. This communal experience is offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday May-October and lasts approximately 2.5 hours.

Save the dates: June 14, July 19, and November 6. Our exclusive Phelps Preferred Culinary Retreat Series, set against the stunning backdrops of Hawaii and Colorado, and Bodega Bay. Each unique gathering invites members to immerse themselves in the artistry of our Freestone Vineyards wines, hosted by winemaker, Justin Ennis.

Release Weekend
September 4-7. Visit Napa Valley during the fall and be among the first to taste the latest Insignia barrel sample. Guests will also enjoy live music and hear the stories behind our wines while enjoying Ovation and library selections of Insignia and Backus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, all paired with bites from our winery culinary team.
